ged senki!!!!!!!
In Japan,the commercial of new movie 'Ged senki' of studio Ghibli started being broadcasted on TV since last week.
The preview of this movie is here.
The director of this movie is Goro Miyazaki and he is a son of Hayao Miyazaki. According to the news, he had made this movie as a director for the first time.
Although I had watched the movie "Howl's Moving Castle", I couldn't think was good. Sorry if you like!
I hope that 'Ged senki' will be one of the movies of Studio Ghibli I love!

I haven't seen Howl's Moving Castle yet but I have heard it is not so good. I usually really love the work of Hayao Miyazaki.
I have seen , Spirited away, Porco Rosso, My Neighbour Totoro, Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke.
Which ones do you prefer??
The other day I saw another Ozu movie called Equinox Flower,I thought it was amazing. Have you seen it?

I love Hayao miyazaki's movies.
I have watched his works since I was a child.
I love "Tenku no shiro Rapyuta","Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi","Mononoke-hime" ,"Totoro" etc!
But I don't like Howl's Moving Castle .hahaha.

well it is only in the last few months that all the Studio Ghilbli collection has been released in the U.K. on DVD.
So I haven't yet had the money to see them all ...ha ha
So I haven't seen Nausicaa yet (I think that is the English title) but I will now make it next on my list!!
From those that I have seen so far I think my favourite
is Castle in the sky,"Tenku no shiro Rapyuta" because that was shown on T.V. here and was the first one I saw. I do prefer to watch with the Japanese sound track and subtitles because I don't like the English/American voices on the dubbing.
I think the animation in Totoro is unbelievable though... such a pretty movie!!
It's amazing how difficult it has been to see these movies here until this year.
You can buy a lot of other Anime in the U.K. but I don't know which are good. I have Akira and Perfect Blue.
Chishu Ryu....... yes , he is great I have seen a few of the Ozu movies he is in and he had parts in some Kurosawa films ( "Red Beard" and "Dreams")

on the imdb list he has done many films about Tora-san ? I don't know these , have you seen them?
Unfortunately the only Itami movie you can get with English sub titles is Tampopo and even that is now deleted...luckily I bought that a few years ago.So I haven't been able to see " A Taxing Woman part 2"
I have to watch carefully for DVD releases in the U.S.A. and Canada to see what Japanese movies are released there. I also like the old "Zatoichi " movies but I had to buy them from America.
