Remains of Hiraizumi
I read the news about remains of Iwate prefecture.
I went to Iwate prefecture a few years ago. Then I saw Chuson-ji Temple and Gerden of Hiraizumi town. English is here. I had to go up a long slope "Tukimi-zaka" until the temple. But I could enjoy walking because I could see many plants or trees. The air was fresh and view was very wonderful. So you must enjoy walking too! There are museums of Basyo-Matsuo, Fujiwara family and hall of Noh, temples etc in there.
The Golden Hall of Chusonji Temple was built Fujiwara family and they are covered with gold foil!!! It become a national treasure in 1951. There are 3 family Buddhist altars in there and dead 3 bodies of Fujiwara family were under family Buddhist altars. Yes, they were mummys of from the first to second readers of Fujiwara family.
After seeing temple, I went to a river "Geibi kyo" in order to get on the boat. I could enjoy looking at the nice view while getting on the boat. And you can listen the song of Minyou because boatman sing a song while rowing a boat.
Please got to there if you have a chance.
