Stanley Ka Dabba

Yesterday, I ate Indian food.

The dish was Butter chiken curry.




Recently, I can harvest some vegetables of my balcony.At this time, I harvested parsley and fennel. Then I put them on the curry.

It was so delicious.
I often had gone to Indian restaurants with them.The foods of restaurants were wonderful because they understand the real taste of Indian food and real Indian restaurants.

By the way, I watched one movie.

The title is Stanley Ka Dabba.

【story】

Stanley (Partho Gupte) is a fourth grader at Holy Family school in Mumbai and is very popular among his friends. He is talented and well liked by his peers. The English teacher, Ms. Rosy, (Divya Dutta) is particularly impressed with his creativity, wit, and humor. Stanley is shown with a bruised face in the opening scene of the movie. On being questioned about it by Ms. Rosy, he concocts an elaborate story, much to her amusement. His humorous essays and offhand poem recitations make him her favorite in class. However his imagination is not always rewarded (his science teacher (Divya Jagdale) rebukes his attempt at constructing a light house as part of the class project since it does not adhere to the topics covered in class).

The story is about one boy who can't bring the lunchbox at the school because of one reason.

His friends are so kind and they shared their lunchbox to him.

The movie was so impressed.
Children are so cute and their performances were good.

I think we want to watch this movie again after watching it.

インド料理、大好きです。
以前、職場にインドの方が数名いたので、その方たちとランチにインド料理に行ったりしていました。

さすがに、インドの方が行かれるお店という事で、
本格的なインド料理で、美味しいお食事を頂けました。

インドといえば、インドの映画を見ました。

見た映画は「スタンリーのお弁当箱」です。

【ストーリー】
みんなを笑 わせているクラスの人気者スタンリー。彼は家庭の事情でお弁当を持ってくることができない。昼食の時間はいつも一人ぼっち。水道の水を飲んで空腹を我慢し ている。そんな彼を助けようと、クラスの友達はみんなのお弁当を少しずつ分けてあげるが、食い意地の張った先生に見つかり、取り上げられてしまう。「ネズ ミめ、お弁当を持ってこれない奴は学校に来る資格はない」その言葉に深く傷ついたスタンリーは、次の日から学校に来なくなってしまった・・・。

本 作は、1年半に渡って演技経験のない子供たちを毎週土曜日に学校に集め、映画のワークショップとして製作された作品であり、子供たちは最後まで映画撮影と 知らず、また子供たちにカメラの存在を気付かれないようにすることで自然な表情を引き出している。

映画の中で出てくるインド料理がとても美味しそうでした。
また、出演してる子供たちがとても愛くるしく、見ていて、子供たちの健気さに心が打たれます。

そして、スタンリーのある抱えてる問題。。。
胸が痛くなり、切なくなります。

でも、スタンリーの笑顔、彼なりに、毎日を生きるという事。
そんな中、彼を想う同級生やその他の人たち。

心根がとても綺麗な人たちが彼の周りにいて、
映画の中に登場します。

そして、彼のおかれた現実。
国が違えば、子供たちの生活も変わってきます。

考えさせられ、また、自分も丁寧な生活を毎日送るという事が
大事だなと感じられた、とても良い映画でした。

By the way I love to watch films. So I wanted to know which movies gone to Academy award. I was so glad after reading news of the movie "The King's Speech". I like the actor "Colin Firth". He played the main character of the movie. So I'd like to watch it if it is possible.

The movie "Los abrazos rotos"

You know I like Pedro Almodovar's films.

Yesterday, I watched his movie "Los abrazos rotos"(Broken Embraces).



For me, I can understand about lives and thinking from his films.

The movie's story is about one man. His job was a director of the movie. He met one woman. His life changed. The story was sad. But it was good. I really enjoyed to watch the movie.

The aroma of happy

On the last weekend, I watched Japanese interesting movie "Shiawase no kaori".

The title means aroma of happy.

The story is about one young single mother and Chinese who is living in Japan.

Old Chinese runs a small Chinese restaurant in Japan.
Many people go to there because tastes of his dishes are so good.
One young woman decided to learn Chinese dishes.

After watching this movie, I felt happiness.

I could enjoy a wonderful movie.

Then I wanted to Chinese dishes at once.
Although I don't often eat Chinese food.

So I cooked Chinese dish.

This is green Pepper with oyster sauce .

Japanese movie "Shizumanu_Taiyō"

Today, I will watch the game of England.
It will start at 11 pm.

By the way, I watched Japanese movie "Shizumanu_Taiyō".



In the past, I had read a first volume of this novel.
So I didn't know the story at all.

You may know the main character "Ken Watanabe".

I like him.
So I try to watch his movies.

The main character is a office worker of Japan.
He had to leave Japan and he worked in outcountry places for many years.
Because he was mistreated by his company.

But he tried to work harder and do best.

Then he came back to Japan in order to solve one biggest trouble of his company.

The accident of the airline.
Many people died.

The writer wrote this novel after knowing the true accident.

When I watched this movie, I felt sad...
But this movie is so good.

I will watch this movie again to understand this movie more.

Nankyoku Ryourinin

Yesterday, I ate tomato's pasta at home. I harvested some sprigs of Rosemary in balcony and used them for cooking. These are plants of tomato in my balcony. I found some flowers. I hope I'll harvest tomatoes soon. This year, I often harvest some lettuce. I am so happy because I couldn't harvest them at all last year. By the way, I watched some movies. - Nankyoku Ryourinin This movie was so funny. This movie was based the true story. Japanese chef went to Antarctica in order and he stayed in there for about a year. He tried to cook wonderful foods for other. Anyway, I could enjoy it!!! - Red Cliff I like the actor "Takeshi Kaneshiro" and the director "John Woo". Takeshi Kaneshiro played as the character "Zhuge_Liang". He was so smart. I could really enjoy watching movies!!!!

Antoni Gaudi and Alhambra.

A few days ago, I started to check Spanish's information.
I'll go to Madrid at first.

Then I'll go to Granada, Barcelona.
I like to watch wonderful old buildings.
So I can't wait to watch works of Antoni Gaudi,Alhambra.



I'll buy souvenirs for my family and friends.
Now, I think I'll buy olive oil's in Spain.
Because the quality is so nice.

You may know I like Pedro Almodovar who is Spanish movie director.
So I will look for his books or other in Spain.

His new movie will be released in Japan on 8th of Feb.
I will try to go to see his new movie "Los abrazos rotos".

The movie "Vier Minuten"

Recently, I always go to cafes in order to have a breakfast. I know it is best to cook by myself ...

The cafe is close to my home. I start reading newspapers after ordering breakfast. The breakfast's menu is here.

- Potato's salad
- 2 cups of coffee

I stay at there for about 40 mins and go to my office.

It is good to check many news while eating a breakfast. As I always go to there, I often meet some regular customers.

By the way, I watched the movie "Vier Minuten".

The story is about 2 women.
One old woman is a piano's teacher of French prison.
Other is a young woman and she is a prisoner.
She has a talent to play a piano.
So the teacher teaches her to play a piano and they tried to attend the competition. I didn't often watch French movies. But I wanted to watch this movie since it was released in Japan. I could enjoy watching it at home.

Chicken cacciatora

A few days ago, I cooked at home and ate this.

Of course, I used a rosemary of my home for cooking!!! This is my rosemary. I harvest rosemary every day. Then I drink the tea of rosemary.



Yesterday, I found flowers of Japanese vegetable "Asupara na". They were so cute!!!

However, I harvested them.

I boiled them and eat them. The taste of Japanese vegetable "Asupara na" is similar to a tast of Asuparagus.



By the way, I watched the movie "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee" yesterday. To tell the truth, it was so so...

The movie "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial"

My family likes to watch movies. So we often enjoy watching movies together since I was a child.

My mother said that my parent had gone to movie theater with me when I was a baby.

I have one memory. When I was 6 years old, I went to the movie theater with my mother and we had watched the movie "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial". But I was so scared because of the movie. So I asked my mother to go back to my home. However, my mother didn't go back to home and we kept watching the movie. So I didn't remember the story of The movie "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial" at all. On new year day, we watched the movie "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial".



I really enjoyed watching to the movie. The story was so wonderful. I was so impressed. When I was watching it , I shed my tears.

The movie "Los abrazos rotos"

You may know that I love the movies of Pedro Almodovar. I think he is a wonderful director. Next year, his newest movie will be realesed in Japan. The title is "Los abrazos rotos". I'll go to see it. Tonight, I'll go to Nagoya city and I will send a time with my family. I will write about it later.

Departures

This summer of Japan is so strange. Because the rainy season finally finished yesterday. Many farm families had happened heavy rains this summer. According to the many news, prices of summer vegetables will rise suddenly this year. Indeed, I read that many firmers said that heavy rains destroyed entire fields of them since last month. I will have to prepare to grow vegetables of autumn later.

I plan to grow these vegetables this autumn.

I wanted to watch that so long.
The movie was so great. Before watching this movie, I read the book. After reading a book, I was so surprised because this movie was based on the true story.

The apprentice

Hi, how are you?

I am fine.
On last Friday, I left the office at 8 pm and arrived at the station.
As soon as I started going back home by foot, I met a steady deluge and a thunder.

While I went back to home, I was soaked through by the drizzling rain.
When I turn on the TV and watched the TV news at home, the trains were stopped because of the rain and thunder.

Although I promised to meet my friend on Sat, I gave up.
Because I couldn't go back to my home if the trains were stopped because of tunder and heavy rain.

Then I decided to stay at my home while a weekend and I enjoyed watchig movies.

At first, I watched "Maiko Haaaan!!!".



I was looking forward to watching this movie when the movie was released.
However, I didn't have a chance to watch it in the theater.

This movie was comedy and the story was about "Maiko" that is Geisha's apprentice.

The main character was one man who love Maiko's culture.
He move to Kyoto from Tokyo to meet Maiko.
Then funny accidents happened around him and his girl friend.

I couldn't stop laughing while watching the movie.

I suppose that this movie was so fun!

The two sons of Francisco

Do you know "Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano"?

I didn't know about them before.

A few months ago, I found one movie.
The movie was "The two sons of Francisco" and about Brazilian famous musicians "Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano".

This movie was based on the true story and released in 2005.



Finally, I could watched the movie and I shed my tears many times while watching the movie.

The story was about a family of Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano.
Their family was poor and they had many brothers and sisters.
Their father wanted sons to become musicians and they learned to play the music for many years.

After trying making efforts, they could become musicians.

Especially, I was impressed with the last scene of the movie.

The last scene was a concert of Camargo and Luciano.
When they were singing songs, their father and mother suddenly appeared on the stage.

I couldn't stop shedding my tears when I watched the last scene.

"The two sons of Francisco" is my most favorite movie.

The movie "Ikigami"

well, I will go to spanish restaurant although we planed to eat Japanese eel tonight. Because my friend said that we couldn't reserve at Japanese eel restaurant.

Maybe, many people plan to eat eel because the weather is too hot!!!

I was sorry but I perfer Spanish food.

By the way, do you remember about Japanese comic "Ikigami"?
In the past, I wrote about it on my blog.
Finally, the movie of Ikigami will be released next month in Japan.

The movie 'Billy Elｌiot'

At last night, I couldn't sleep at all. I tried to sleep but I gave up.

Then I decided to watch movies and TV drama.

At first, I watched the movie 'Billy Elliot' of UK.



Before watching that, I had known that.
The reviews of that were nice.
However, I didn't have a chance to watch that.

The story was about a boy who lived in UK and wanted to become a dancer of ballet.
His father didn't allow him to go to the lesson at first.
So he tried to keep going to the lesson a secret.

His teacher told him that he should take an exam of Royal ballet and leave the town. But his family wasn't rich.
His father worked in the coal mine's company and his father kept striking of coal mine with co-workers.

One day, the father found his secret.
Yes, the father saw his son dancing with girls.

Father was angry but father tried to make money.

So they went to London in order to take an exam of Royal ballet in UK.

I know that all of story.
But I don't write about that.

While watching the movie, I was so impressed and the movie cheered me.

It is important for me that movies cheer me.

Well, I use the computer while working for a long time. So I sometimes feel dried eye and stiff in my shoulders...

By the way, I love Jamiroquai. When I was 18 years old, I had listened to their song for the first time. Then I love their songs and I go to their live when they come to Japan.

I don't often Japanese TV drama at all. Except Japanese TV drama "Furuhata ninzaburo".

At night of yesterday, I watched TV's ad "Clarion" of Jamiroquai on TV for the first time.



The music is "Feel So Good". I like this song.

Elizabeth The golden age

You know, the season is rainy in Japan now. So since last week, it had been rainy days...

I think the rainy season will be over soon.

By the way,I watched the movie "Elizabeth: The Golden Age". Because the rain was heavy.



It was so interesting after reading the history of England. If I didn't know about the history, I couldn't understand at all.

Recently, I enjoy reading the books about the history of England. It is so fun for me. Because I went to UK and I could understand England more.

I try to check out the history after enjoy trips.

When I was a child, I didn't often study the history of Japan and others. But now, I like the history!!!
